From the author of Winnie the Pooh comes this whimsical comedy for adults. The year is 1922. Somewhere on the Dover Road, which illicit couples take to elope to France, there is an extraordinary house whose mysterious host often welcomes (intercepts?) couples upon their way. On this night, he detains a middle-aged man and his young mistress. Already in the house are another couple – a woman and her young lover – who have been there a week. As the men fall prey to “inconvenient” illnesses, both couples are given time to figure out what they are getting themselves into… and how to get themselves out!
